Webinar Description
The human brain is filled with a startling concoction of stories about ourselves and the world that swarm in and out of consciousness at the speed of light. Unless we take time to shed light on our stories, our lives can be driven by old conclusions that do not serve us well in the present.
In this class we will look at the function that stories provide for our brain. We will look for the same qualities in the mix of “truths” embedded in DSM diagnoses, and increase our awareness of how our narratives about illness can actually limit healing.
Participants will fine-tune skills to help clients become aware of the sequels running through their brains, rewrite stories that do not serve them well, and move from a reactive stance to one where they are inspired to redesign their lives.
