This three-hour professional development workshop invites clinicians—particularly those working in sex therapy and related fields—to explore the evolving nature of their professional and personal identities. Participants will examine how values, beliefs, and biases inform clinical decision-making; how one’s presence and self-presentation influence the therapeutic process; and how digital visibility and online behavior shape public and professional credibility. Through reflective exercises, group dialogue, and applied activities, clinicians will learn to articulate a coherent clinical identity that integrates authenticity, ethical integrity, and self-care.

- Identify personal values, beliefs, and biases that influence their approach to clinical practice and decision-making.
- Evaluate how professional presentation—both in-person and online—communicates therapeutic stance, credibility, and boundaries.
- Develop strategies to align clinical setting, modality, and clientele with one’s professional philosophy and ethical framework.
- Apply reflective and experiential tools (e.g., the River Exercise and Self-of-the-Therapist Map) to enhance self-awareness and clinical authenticity.
