Webinar Description
Are you allowed to work with students in your private practice? What do you tell parents? How should you handle gifts? Are you a mental health professional, educational personnel, or both? School Social Workers are charged with the legal and ethical responsibility to maintain professional boundaries, but the obligation isn’t always so easy to discern. This session focuses on the scope of service and ethical and legal responsibilities of social work practice in an education setting. Issues of boundaries, complicated confidentiality responsibilities, relationships with students and family members, and unique role in the school community will all be explored.
