Webinar Description
Many therapy modalities have been developed to help dysregulated clients learn to regulate their emotions. Among them, notably, DBT. However, while DBT devotes much attention to individuals whose emotions are unstable and whose behaviors are out-of-control and impulsive, it neglects individuals at the other end of the dysregulation spectrum. RO-DBT is a "sister" therapy of DBT that aims to help individuals who are more rigid, emotionally cut off, overcontrolled and perfectionistic. Through lecture and experiential exercise, this workshop will provide an overview of RO-DBT, its underlying theory and conceptualization, and the some of the skills and strategies used.
